Senior Formal - Caitlin - Brisbane Family Photographer

A few weeks ago on the last day of the school term it was the Seniors Formal night at the school my kids go to. I don't know any Seniors myself and as I was free in the afternoon I wanted to donate my time to take some lovely photographs for a deserving person. I contacted the school and asked them if there was someone who may have had a particularly difficult year who they thought might enjoy having some photos taken of them before they headed off to the event itself.

The school coordinator immediately had someone in mind and said they would contact the family and get back to me. Caitlin has on going health issues and in fact had to have a visit to the hospital that day and the school coordinator said she would be perfect to be treated to having some photos taken.

I got in touch with Julie, Caitlin's Mum and they were both thrilled at having some professional photos taken in the afternoon and were very excited.

Here in Australia I know that formals start relatively early and there's normally a pre-formal with the parents at the event and often friends want to get together prior to that as well. Add in a good couple of hours for hair and make up, getting ready and there's never enough time between events to get time for photos apart from quick iPhone snaps. Luckily for me there was nothing planned before the pre-formal so that gave us a little bit of time to get some photos for this deserving family.

Caitlin's family friend Kacie did her make up which was stunning not to mention Kacie's make up was also beautiful. Caitlin wore an elegant navy pantsuit with a plush pink belt and matching shoes and added a beautiful silver clutch to finish off her outfit.

Caitlin doesn't normally wear make up and lashes and got the whole glamour treatment for this special night and looked beautiful and elegant. Senior Formals are a right of passage marking the end of the school years and for parents all they can think about is where did the time go. Caitlin wants to get into nursing next year and I'm sure she will excel in that field. Thank you to Julie and Caitlin for opening up your home for me to come and photograph this special occasion for your family.
